Pepperjam has been a totally awesome company to work for so far. I know… it’s only been 3 days since the start of my internship, so I can’t say too much yet. But you know for sure that I am loving it when I tell you that I would drop out of Penn State University right now if Pepperjam gave me a job offer for their Search department.
Although I’ve been committed to studying and taking the Google Adwords Professional exam for the past few days, I’ve also familiarized myself with the actual work in the Search Engine Optimization department. This observation was accomplished by parasitically peering over the shoulders of the Pepperjam employees for hours. Everything they do in this department is my hobby at home. And I would love to do this as a full-time job for the rest of my life until the Internet becomes obsolete.
As I mentioned earlier, I took the Google Advertising Professional exam today. I had studied with much determination Monday and Tuesday, treating it like the damn SAT. Maybe I studied even harder because I actually care about this stuff. Or maybe it was the pressure that Mike Jones’ 50 bucks were paying for this exam and I didn’t want to fuck it up. So this morning I bitch-slapped the exam and got 107 out of 111 questions correct.
Then, to my surprise, after visiting my new “Pro Center” interface on Adwords, I realized that I am not officially qualified as a Google Adwords Professional until I find a way to spend $1,000 on my personal Adwords account in 90 days. I think that I was supposed to take the test under the Pepperjam agency account instead of my own. I’ll have to talk to Kris Jones about this. But I passed the test, so who gives a shit. The only thing I’m missing out on is the “Qualified Professional Logo” so I can hang it from my balls and brag.
On a side note, the CEO Kris Jones gave me some kickass t-shirts, including the notorious Inc. 500 Pepperjam shirt as well as the coveted Shoemoney shirt.
