Spamming from wikipedia...

" Spamming is the abuse of electronic messaging systems to indiscriminately send unsolicited bulk messages. "

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spamming

FACEBOOK SAYS AN ADMINISTRATOR HAS DETECTED ME SPAMMING. And I received a warning on my personal email address. A WARNING???, with no explanation backed up with examples or proofs where or how did I spam???

1)
I daily receive mails from my friend on my friend list mostly, to which I reply instantly.

2)
I request friendships

3)
I post my views on some forums (those groups I am a member of)

4)
I play on Pro Racer (a gaming application), I also have been taking part in the online competitons and posted my design links on their forums (see the decals forums) etc.

And, had recently Facebook bring me that warning message about spamming???

Is sending legitimate mails to friends, viewing post on forums considered as spamming?? Coz basically this is when I started getting those stupid, uncalibrated messages!

I want my profile back!

All due respect, but any time I see the words "I'm not a spammer but" and "very specific selection" or the like in the same paragraph the alarm bells start to go off...

Facebook is a social networking tool, not a commercial tool for cold calling.

I've just got this message for including the words pints/beer and the like in those messages you can put in with a friends request.

This is a bit of a problem, I'm Irish - and to send such a request without suggesting meeting up for a pint would actually be quite rude...

Interesting... you claim your messages aren't spam because they aren't fraudulent. By widely accepted definition, any unsolicited electronic message, sent in bulk, is spam.

You are, sir, a spammer - like it or not.

"Spamming is the abuse of electronic messaging systems to indiscriminately send unsolicited bulk messages. While the most widely recognized form of spam is e-mail spam, the term is applied to similar abuses in other media: instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, mobile phone messaging spam, internet forum spam and junk fax transmissions."

I emailed Facebook's support team about this message, and the spam warning message soon disappeared.
