I wrote an ampersand character in the content of a blog post and it caused the RSS feed to break down. Not only did the XML document for the feed cut off at that particular post, Feedburner also returned an error:
The URL you entered does not appear to be a valid feed. We encountered the following problem: Error on line 25: The entity name must immediately follow the ‘&’ in the entity reference.
That’s odd. Does that mean I can’t use ampersands on my blog?
