The bandwidth limit is plaguing me again. It’s only the third day of the bandwidth cycle and I am already at 1.82 GB / 2.00 GB. All because of re-formatting my computer and downloading the plethora of Windows Updates.
I nagged the Penn State network coordinator to give me a break, because having Windows Updates count against our bandwidth is stupid. But he said there was nothing he could do, and, instead, he directed me to a special hidden service called Windows SUS on the PSU domain.
So, if this works correctly, you can download all the Windows Updates through the Windows Software Update Service hosted on the PSU domain. Check out the Windows SUS configuration instructions followed by a necessary force update.
