Unsend email and check if opened

I primarily use Gmail for all my email needs now, but there are two features I miss from my old AOL Mail interface, which I haven’t used since 2001. I wish I could unsend an email and also check if an email has been opened by the recipient. The latter feature could be on the border of privacy infringement, though. Although such features are probably not supported by the standard email protocol, I’m sure these could be implemented just for the gmail.com domain, just as AOL had done for its own email addresses.

if you subscribe to readnotify.com you can sign up to have the option of finding out if the party has read the email or not. However, I do miss the unsend option most definitely.

I need an unsend for some of the letters I regret.

I pay for readnotify. It’s worth it.
