On the cover of i-Connect Magazine

The pictures from the entrepreneurship photo shoot in April have been published. Check out the front cover of this summer’s i-Connect issue. Further in, I’m quoted in “The Young Guns” (haha wtf) article as well.

The feature article of this issue did a decent job compiling information about entrepreneurial activity within the College of IST. Using the opportunity, I profiled all the people and the companies mentioned in the piece on IST Wiki, a new directory application that I developed. If you have additional information for any of the wiki pages, feel free to email me at daehee@gmail.com.

After reading the article, I found myself asking, “That’s it?” It managed to confirm a fear and assumption: IST students are generally not involved in entrepreneurship. Out of hope, I had expected there to be more startups, and the unremarkable quality of many of them startled me. Also, the article mainly focused on what past IST graduates had done during their college years instead of what is going on now.

Hopefully, this i-Connect article can inspire readers to start exploring options in entrepreneurship. :)

Hey! Nice article and pic on the cover if i-Connect! So, congrats on that.

Why limit yourself to just IST? You have 40K students here at Penn State - UP. Twice that if you go all campus.

    Go cross college!

    Thanks, Dr. Jansen :)

If you are talking about the scope of IST Wiki, that’s a good point.. I just don’t want to see it become an unmanageable size.
