The following may sound obvious, but you’d be surprised how often you need reminders.
Watching the daughter all day is a big challenge, as I’ve discovered over the past two days. I often take my wife’s housewife role for granted. There is literally never a resting moment.
My wife is on a trip to New York with her childhood friends for four days.
I pretty much slammed my foot on the brakes with work stuff — both for undergraduate research and for business. I did manage to squeeze in managing PPC campaigns during her nap time and some research after she fell asleep for the night.
Making sure the daughter is well fed has been the most difficult. It’s a slap in the face when your child refuses the offer of the first spoon. Although, one cool thing about being Korean is that your Korean neighbors pass around dishes of food almost every day. So at least there is a backup.
By 8pm, I was ready to pass out.
However, at the end of the day, to see her peacefully asleep is my reward.
Got Thoughts?
By all means share them, and start the conversation.
