It’s 8 in the morning and I have about 10 minutes to write this so excuse any errors. We arrived at San Francisco airport yesterday at 5pm without any problems. We met briefly with Rob Shedd of the Lion Launchpad during our layover in Philadelphia which was an interesting surprise. He was on his way to State College.
Dr. Jim Jansen, our overseeing professor, had already arrived a couple hours before us at the hotel. We checked in at the Hotel Adagio all paid for by the College of IST. Nice hotel with free internet, thanks to our College.
checking into Hotel Adagio
Stocked fridge in our hotel room. The College of IST made sure we wouldn't go thirsty in our rooms. Haha just kidding.

Prior to our arrival, I had been trading emails with Victor Tsen of the Google Online Marketing Challenge Global Winners team from University of Western Australia. So we were able to get into contact with each other once we both arrived in San Francisco. Coincidentally their (5 star) hotel (as part of their Global Winners package) was literally just across the street from ours.
Nothing was open in San Francisco on this Sunday night past 10pm. Not even the Starbucks around the corner. We met up with Victor and the UWA team at a nearby diner. The Aussies wanted ice cream and that diner was the only nearby option. Both our teams squeezed into a tight booth, and it was cool chatting with them before the next meeting at the Googleplex.
Penn State and UWA team
Today our Penn State team is visiting the offices of Twitter and Weebly. Afterward, we hope to do some sightseeing. Photos and more coming when I get another chance to get online.
