I was surprised to see an article about a developing search engine in Korea called Rebi. It’s interesting because the Korean newspapers claim that Rebi’s concept is so groundbreaking that it plans to overtake Google’s share in the world market. What surprised me most was that the article completely misunderstands and bashes Google. It’s nothing [...]

I interviewed my younger brother Gunhee Park about the common user experience with Korean search engines. Gunhee is a good candidate for this interview because a) he is part of the “net generation” or whatever the pundits like to call people who grew up with the internet and b) he’s been immersed heavily in both [...]

Some Chinese foreign exchange students at Wilkes University introduced me to an amazing P2P TV-watching program called PPStream. The name “PPStream” stands for peer-to-peer streaming video. As you can see on my sidebar, I recently started my own Twitter account.
Twitter (www.twitter.com) is a new popular web 2.0 activity where users are [...]

Here’s a nifty little trick to track the location of anyone who has a cell phone. This is using Cingular’s new online tool called the Marital Integrity Tracker (aka Promiscuous Wife Stalker). I only show you how to do this with Cingular, since I’m only familiar with its web account interface. But I’m sure other [...]

If you often communicate in a foreign language over the internet, whether it be emails or discussion forums, your efforts are thwarted in public computers and school computer labs. We are in America so our computers only need English, right?
Some philanthrophic gentleman at Univeristy of Chicago developed a javascript program that converts your English input [...]

Now you can really earn a living by working at home on the computer. A few years back I would see many flyers of scams like these posted on telephone poles and walls. But I discovered one of the coolest ideas on the web that lets you work at home without a catch: Amazon Mechanical [...]
